Riverdance Houston Theatre reviews
Mostly excellent
We very much enjoyed the 25th Anniversary Riverdance Tour. It was superbly fun and very well orchestrated. A few parts were slow and a little dry such as a couple of the individual instrumental portions. The back ground props were quite impressive. There were a few times of outstanding dance by individuals or couples. Overall, it was amazingly entertaining especially the times prior to intermission and during the finale where a group of approximately 20 people danced in unison with high energy and great effort.
Cudos to the drummer who contributed a major enhancement of the entire performance with his precision and often heavy-handed beats which substantially influenced the great quality of the overall experience. We would go again for sure!
Great Show
The show itself was really great. Best part was "Brooklyn" dance. We loved it! Hard part was the slow singing; at the end of a long work day made it hard to stay focused during those scenes. Worst part was not the show but the spotlight that was right in our eyes before the performance and during intermission. Not sure what the purpose of that was Robinson Auditorium but it was very annoying. Shout out to the parking crew after the show, you rocked it. If you get a chance to see this show, it is worth it. So very glad I had the opportunity.
